When your BMW is due for
a service, you can feel rest assured that we will carry out the
maintenance program exactly as stipulated in your handbook.
The majority of our
technicians were originally trained at BMW dealerships by BMW
representatives so the level of expertise is guaranteed. In Fact, all
our technicians have only ever worked on BMWs and choose to work on
no other. This is why we can offer a 2 year parts and labour
guarantee on everything we do.
What happens during
a service?
Before we begin the service, a road test is performed to enable the
technicians to get a feel for the car. It is then thoroughly checked and
a report produced. The report is then double checked by our foreman, who
then passes it on to the service advisor for evaluation and quoting.
Only when we have authority from the owner, will we begin to carry
out any extra work.
Once the service and/or
repairs are completed it is given another road test and a final
once-over by the foreman who completes a quality control report. The car
is ‘signed-off’ and handed back to the owner only when the foreman is
satisfied all the work has been done correctly.

You are always kept in the picture
We pride ourselves on completing the car on time, every time.
You are contacted at least twice a day to ensure you are aware
of exactly what will be performed on your car and most
importantly, you will always know what the total cost will be
when you arrive to take delivery. All our invoices are
comprehensive and well detailed. A report will be available for
your records and the service book will be stamped and dated.
We believe our style of servicing is the best in the industry.
It ensures your BMW is free of any hidden faults which
may cause the car to breakdown unexpectedly.
We keep your BMW healthy
We use original parts and the lubricants are all Mobil
products. Each time your BMW is serviced by us it is washed and
vacuumed. Even the alloy wheels are cleaned thoroughly. The
engine is also steam cleaned on Inspection services.

Personalised service maintenance

There are times when we believe the standard service
schedules are inadequate for varying reasons. Problems associated with ultra-extended service intervals on late model cars are becoming more and more apparent.
Here at BM Tech, we
can service your car according to our beliefs. Beliefs based on
experience, industry standards and general instinct. We have a
program based on the excellent schedule created by BMW and then further
enhanced to include some extra items such as:

In-between service oil changes for the new 1, 3, 5,
6, 7, X and Z series;

Fuel filter replacement every Inspection 2;

Injection services every 60,000 kms;

Automatic transmission filter cleaning or
replacement every Inspection 2; and

Wheel alignments and balances every 12 months.

When we carry out one of these checks you can feel
rest assured that no stone will be left unturned. It is a four
page, easy-to-read report which covers every aspect of your BMW.

Unscheduled repair work & Breakdown towing
|
|
|
It always happens
at the worst time
No matter how pro-active
your service routine is, there may be times when your BMW will break
down. We know how important your BMW is in your lifestyle and being
without it suddenly is extremely inconvenient.
Our system of allocating
time to attend to unscheduled repair work, I believe, is the most
efficient and fairest.
What happens if it
breaks down?
Once a BMW is broken
down, it is attended to in order of arrival. It is then worked on once
the scheduled cars have been attended to. BMWs which were scheduled and
booked in prior will have priority over the broken down cars. Of course
there will be times when the job is minor and quick to fix, in which
case it may be repaired sooner.
We’re proud to say that
90% of our breakdown cars are fixed and finished on the same day which
they arrived.

Breakdown towing services
Because we are not setup to come out to personally assist
you, we strongly recommend RACV Roadside Assistance for their
superb and fast service, particularly in the country. The RACV
patrolmen are getting better and better and are actually trained to
deal with BMWs. Call 13-1111 for more information on the

Hire cars
/ Pick-up & Delivery
|
|
|
We have two hire cars available for your
convenience. They are charged at $31.90 (inc GST) per day plus petrol.
This price includes insurance. Bookings are essential. If
our cars are booked out, we normally call on Budget Car Rentals who can
have a car available within 30 minutes. Budget cars cost $44.30
(inc GST) per day plus petrol.
We can pick up your BMW from either your home or work
and deliver it back all in the same day as long as it’s within a 5 km
radius from our workshop in Canterbury. If your BMW is located
further away we may still be able to accommodate you. Please call

Useful vehicle accessories

BMWs are generally well equipped, but sometimes your
model may be lacking some useful devices such as: remote door locking
and unlocking, immobilisers, alarms and CD players just to name a
few. We have chosen what we believe to be the best value and the
most reliable accessories on the market. These accessories are
first fitted and evaluated on our own cars before we would ever
recommend them on yours.

Vehicle detailing
|
|
|
All our clients cars are cleaned, washed and vacuumed
each time they are in for a service or repair. Sometimes we are
asked to perform a more thorough clean. Here we employ the
services of Mark Kaye from Excell Buff Polishing who has been a trained
car detailer for more than 15 years. He has a mobile set up and is
constantly called upon to detail our clients cars whilst they are in for
service. He takes a full day to complete one car and is extremely
thorough. You will be guaranteed a professional job and your BMW
