For better visibility, check the driver’s side tyre, as these numbers are less likely to be worn out. When calling for a quote, provide: Your car’s make, model, and year. The current tyre brand and size. 2. Decoding Tyre Sizes Tyre sizes appear as numbers like 195/55R16. You’ll also see another code (e.g., 91V) for load and speed rating. Note these details for your tyre shop. 3. What’s Included in the Price? Tyre prices usually cover fitting, balancing, and new valves. A wheel alignment, though not included, is recommended after tyre replacement. 4. Quality vs. Cost Premium tyres cost more because they’re designed for superior safety and performance, such as better stopping distances and wet-weather grip. 5. Replacing Two Tyres You can replace two tyres instead of all four. Replace both tyres on the same axle, and it’s best to fit new tyres at the front for improved steering and braking. 6.
